- Heights
- Flying (It's wierd for someone like me becuase I work for an airline company. Especially I have to fly to somewhere else every year for training.)
What are your personal memories of September 11th?
I was still in school at that time. I didn't know about the incident until I get to my English class in the afternoon. We were in the classroom, but the teacher wasn't there. After couple of minutes, someone came and said there's no classes for the rest of the day. I still didn't know what's going on until I walked to the Student Union and saw many people gathered in front of the TV. That's when I found out the news. I tried to call home, but no one was picking up the phone. No one can make a phone call to NYC. I just sat on the couches and just watch the TV for a few hours. I realize that If I did graduate on time,(It was my 5th year) I would have been back in the city and working in that area.
Part of me was pissed because the terrorist chose to killed the weak and prey on a place whose is known for diversity and tolerance. A place where you can see many different enthic groups on the same subway train. A place where people might not like each other becuase of race, but they are willing to tolerate and share and learn to live with one another. New York is just the worst place to represent what the governement's ideal is. Our Head of State doesn't know anything about NYC and most of us has no assosiation with him, why do we have to pay for his errors. Even right now, we are still paying for it. The politicians are taking advantage of this even now, ex Govenor Pataki. (I'll talk about him on another post.)
That incident upsets me and also gives me more pride toward being a New Yorker. Unless you live or work in the New York area, you are not a New Yorker!!!
How many places have you lived in your life?
Let's see:
- 0-11 = Hong Kong. More specific - Mei Foo, Kowloon
- 11-11.7 = US of A. more specific - Fresh Meadows, Queens. PS154
- 11.7-14.25 = Ozone Park, Queens. JHS 210 + Brooklyn Tech HS. These are the worse days. Becuase we live so close to the Brooklyn border, a lot of kids from my JHS live on the Brooklyn side. There are just a lot of Black kids just wanna beat up on the Asians beucase there are not a lot of us in that area back in the early 90s. We sorta forced to move out the neighborhood becuase there are so many kids trespassing our property or vandalizing our house.
- 14.25-17.5 = Bayside, NY. Brooklyn Tech HS + Bronx HS of Science. The neighborhood is nice. Lots of families moved in to this area, they usually have little kids or infants around. It's a bit like Long Island, but still have the easy access to NYC.
- 17.5-24.5 = Buffalo, NY. more specific - Amherst, NY. University at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo). Without a car, it's a really really sad place. During the school year, it's always snow and cold. There's not much shining on your. No sun after 4pm from November to April. Snow can happen in May, which means snow during graduation.
- 24.5-present = back to Bayside, NY. Working. But the neighborhood has changed. Most of the kids are grown up now, and some of them, well. they brign groups of people that hangs out ont eh street and it's really annoying to hear people arguing in the middle of the night when people are sleeping.
I guess staying at Amherst,MA for 2 months in a math camp doesn't count. I just can't see myself living anywhere but NYC. There are just so many thigns going on here. And I don;t need to drive a car to get to most of these places.
What is your favorite children's movie?
I don't know the titles but back then there always a Doraemon movie comes out every year. But I doubt they produce one anually. The one I liked the most is about Doraemon and Nobita adopted a dog and the Dora $ Co. went treasure hunting. It was a long time ago.
What are your plans for the holiday weekend?

What is your browser's default home page set to?
Submitted by Kelev T. Cat.
Well, I use Firefox, so I have multiple home pages. Here's the list:
- digg.com - for tech news and stuff
- yahoo.com - for checking on my emails
- google.com - ditto, but i also uses their personalized homepage feature
- cardplayer.com - to check on the news in the poker world
- xanga.com - for my xanga blog
- excalipoor.vox.com - for my vox blog. It seems like the vox became the primary blog page for me.
What movie would you really recommend renting or seeing this weekend?
Plot: When part time bartender and full time Eagles fan Vince Papale tries out for the team during an open call, he makes the team in a complete twist of fate. Invincible is a story of Papale's career with the Eagles and his personal struggles and triumphs.
I never know Dick Vermeil's history with the Eagles. I only know he won the Super Bowl with the Rams and with a no-name quarterback, Kurt Warner. This movie is just like The Rookie, about an unknown able to fulfill his dreams that base on true story. I like it!!!
